Looks like Rupert Murdoch and mobile technology are making headlines again. But this time for a much less sinister reason.

Mr Murdoch, whose company News International was involved in a phone hacking scandal in mid-2011, opened a Twitter account on New Year’s Eve.Over the past few days, the 80-year-old media mogul has tweeted about books, films and family. Innocent when compared to the unscrupulous practice his company was involved in.

As of today, he has 85,000 followers. Ironic; the world can now see what he’s doing on his phone.
