A departure from Potter

The publishing industry is spellbound by the news that J.K. Rowling will be releasing a new book later this year. But this time, Rowling is hanging up her wizard’s hat to scribe a novel aimed at an adult audience.

The word is that Rowling’s new book may be a crime novel, as she has chosen an editor who’s notorious in that genre. Rowling hasn’t officially confessed to her new life of crime writing, but says her new book will be very different from the Potter series.

The question is: Will her new novel soar to new heights? Only time (or a crystal ball) will tell.
