Yankee doodle

Recently, it was revealed that former Prime Minister of Britain Margaret Thatcher had pocketed some doodles made by then-President Ronald Reagan at a 1981 G7 summit in Ottawa, Canada.

The doodles were among private papers being released by archivists who have catalogued Ms. Thatcher’s files.

Apparently, as the world’s most powerful leaders left the room, Ms. Thatcher noticed the doodles left on the table and took them because she thought they were rather fun.

The doodles include an eye, various heads, a man smoking a pipe and what appears to be a self-portrait.

Kind of makes us feel better knowing that even the most powerful man in the world can’t get away from boring meetings.
